Actress Sara Ali Khan’s Film Kedarnath Hits A Roadblock Again: Three Companies Claiming Rights Over The Movie: Once again, Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath has steered into rough waters. Two weeks earlier, Ronnie Screwvala took over Kedarnath by compensating producers Ekta Kapoor, Prerna Arora, and Bhushan Kumar.
Now, according to a Mid-Day report, three companies, Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment, Gothic Entertainment and Kolkata-based Padma Ispat Private Limited went to Screwvala and said that they own theatrical rights for the Abhishek Kapoor directorial.
The studios have reportedly also sent a copy of their contracts with Aroraa of Krier Entertainment, which state that she has sold the rights to them.
Ronnie and Abhishek were stunning when they are receiving a copy of the legal agreement between Prerna and Vashu Bhagnani, which is showing that she has to sell Indian theatrical rights of her entire slate to him.
Soon, they were approached by two more companies which made similar claims. Neither of the other former producers Ekta Kapoor and Bhushan Kumar was aware of these agreements, says a source.
Abhishek Kapoor, who has a nasty tiff with Prernaa earlier this year, says, It is shocking to know that there are people in the business who think it is okay to sell the assets that do not belong to them. A police complaint has now filed against Prernaa.
Prerna says, “Everything has now sold to Ronnie Screwvala. But at no point did I or KriArj knows about it the sale till we read it in the papers.
